Dear Kathy,

Thanks much for your posting about grooming the Springer. I've just given our two rescue Springers their first summer cut of the year and I found your profile diagram of the appropriate side line that shows where the shaved top area ends and the long feathers remain (on the body) to be very helpful. For all the Spaniel web sites out there, yours is the only one that shows where the line should be placed.

We adore our black and white Springers and take them across the street to run free in the National Monument every morning for an hour and a half. They are like rockets scaring up rabbits, birds and who knows what else. They get so excited to go that they shake and tremble in anticipation of the romp.

Many thanks again, Lynnie

We have decided to groom our own springers after several bad experiences with local groomers in the Atlanta area. Please tell me what blade you recommend for the utility cut.
We recently purchased a Oster 2-speed Golden A-5 that came with a #10 blade.
Thanks
